Stewardship

My dear friends,

How has St. Michael’s made a difference in your life?  We are currently hearing from folks in our pews talk about what this community means for them.  An even deeper question to ponder is How has St. Michael’s allowed you to make a difference in someone else’s life? It’s because of the combined efforts of each one of you that our church is thriving and effective in getting out the message of God’s love to our neighbors.

I see St Michael’s as a scrappy small church with a can-do attitude.  It’s your spunk that keeps me engaged and excited about the potential in this community.  I have made my commitment to continue to serve as your priest in charge for another year.  I also make my pledge financially to support the efforts that you, the vestry, and the Holy Spirit will bring us into during these next twelve months.

I ask you to renew your commitment with me.

·        Yes, we certainly need your financial help to maintain our church.

·        But even more than that, we need a full church praying and singing in one voice to really hold our community together.  To that end I ask that you make a commitment to gather every Sunday to support one another in our responsibility to care for each other.

·        And we need hands that are eager to help one another in the many projects and possibilities that await us.  Consider committing to volunteering in some aspect of our outreach, our maintenance, or our ministries.

Please stop into the church for a pledge card or to drop off yours, if you missed our ingathering on November 20th.  I ask you to prayerfully consider stepping up to the challenge of increasing your support, if only by a small percentage.  A small change can affect a movement towards a greater understanding of the spiritual Source of all our gifts.

It is a time to recognize and celebrate the many gifts that God has endowed each of us personally and St. Michael’s as a community to acknowledge our grateful response to God’s presence in our midst.

As the Spirit promises, we will be given more than we can ever ask for or imagine as we go forth doing the work of God’s kingdom!

Faithfully,
Paula +
