Plarning 4 the Homeless

GOT SCISSORS?

Join us for fellowship, recycling and repurposing everyday shopping/ grocery bags into sleeping mats for the homeless in the area. A part of our Street Ministry. Come learn the process from the start of cutting the bags to the finish of crocheting the final mat. All supplies and instruction are provided.

Come to do good for those in need and to help the planet too.

We need your help in providing supplies for our neighbors. Single serve, ready to eat items work best, like:
Chef Boyardee Products / Canned Pastas - cans & bowls (pull-top) - any brand is fine, as long as it has a pull-top
Canned Chili w/ beans & Beef Stew - any brand (MUST have pull-top)
Canned Soups - any brand that is hearty, pull-top AND not condensed (soups need to be ready to eat out of the can and condensed soups are not)
Canned Vegetables - beans, peas, corn, mixed (must have pull-top)
Instant Mashed Potatoes - small sized (such as Idahoan brand 4oz pouches or single serving cups)
Macaroni & Cheese - single serving bowls or small boxes any brand
Bottled Water - 8oz or 16.9 oz bottles
Apple Juice - individual sized (approx 10oz) bottles
Shelf-Stable low-fat Milk bottles - Kroger brand Simple Truth Organic (found in the cereal aisle)
Rice Krispy Treats (plain) regular size
Breakfast Cereals - any type of individual service bowls or small boxes
